we LOVE this movie...

we have grown up on Hannah Montana, and we adore Miley. we think she's beautiful, funny, totally down to earth, and seems like she could honestly be one of our real friends. we take no part in the "Miley Hate" and we'll be fans of anything she does, so we were stoked on this movie from jump. we laughed a ton, we bawled our heads off, we drooled over the fashion, and we fell in love with the love story.

if you're not a Miley fan...

give this movie a chance anyways. no matter what, Greg Kinnear is unbelievable as usual, and reason enough to see it. also, his relationship with the little brother character is completely brilliant. and in addition to being so cute, Liam Hemsworth is a phenomenal actor, totally funny, and we promise you'll be surprised at how impressive he is in this.

the soundtrack

forget what you think a Miley Cyrus movie soundtrack would be like. with songs from 'Ra Ra Riot', 'VHS Or Beta', 'The Paper Raincoat', 'Allstar Weekend', and 'OneRepublic', the music in the movie had us obsessed from opening scene to the credit roll.

we're pretty sure every girl is dying over the vintage prom dress Miley wears to the wedding in the movie. if you think we died of fashion love then, you can't even imagine how quickly we fainted when we found an almost identical, legitimately vintage, 1950's Homecoming Queen dress at the LipStick Whiskey Etsy Store.

we're hoping this inspires more girls to take a risk and wear vintage to formals, proms, and holiday balls. to us, vintage brings back when girls really really dressed up for dances, and got to feel like princesses for a night.
