why we love her…
she wears tiaras on the medal stand. amazing. she barrels herself down a mountain at 50 miles an hour and then accepts her medal… in. a. tiara.
why she’s a princess…
she makes history
as of this week, she is now the most decorated female American Olympic Alpine Skier. she won gold in Torino in 2006 in the giant slalom, and she just won the silver in downhill and combined in Vancouver. we love that she is so excited about her experience, and she even makes silver look like gold.
she owns her princessness
if we spent our lives working our booties off day in and day out to win an Olympic medal, you can be darn sure we’d be wearing a tiara when we got the medal. it’s so strange to us that there are people who think girls have to be totally hardcore, or completely unattractive, or basically be “dudes” to be respected as true athletes. to us, it’s way more negative for girls to think that they can’t be feminine and be strong and powerful, than to have a female athlete get attention for being a hottie, or for having a fun personality. we believe in celebrating female athletes who come in all shapes, sizes, personalities, and swaggers… and we love that Julia totally owns her princess swagger

a little bit about the girl…
she’s a cali kid
she grew up in one of our favorite places ever… Lake Tahoe. she started skiing in Squaw Valley at 3 years old and has been on the slopes ever since!
she’s a fashionista
outside of skiing, she also does some modeling, and even has her own lingerie line.
she’s awesome
she’s suprising everyone and having a better Olympics showing than expected, and we love watching her win medals, so good luck in the rest of your races, and we’ll be watching for your tiara on the medal stand! <3
