Summertime In Maine
Maine
beautiful pine tree forests and maple syrup, lobster and clam chowder, Patrick Dempsey, Stephen King, and a large population of people who speak french.
nope, but we’d love to vacay there in the summer. and we def mean summer haha. Maine is ca-razy cold in the winter, so we’ll make our reservations for June or July.

why we wanna go there...
the trees
we could stare at a forest of beautiful trees all day and be happy kids. we're weird - we just really like trees. Maine is "The Pine Tree State", and is notorious for endless miles of forest - so a trip to Maine would give us an epic beautiful tree fix.
the east coast effect
the 4 of us girls have lived on the west coast and in the south all of our lives, and our vacays in the US have been mostly to everywhere besides New England. so, the super duper north east is kind of like the "undiscovered territory" to us. we'd love to go just to experience somewhere shiny brand new.
what we wanna do on a Maine vacay...
» go on a sailing trip
the coastlines of Maine are legendary - they have even more coastline than Cali! going up the coastline, you see everything from beaches, to rocky cliffs, to crazy neat lighthouses. we'd totally get on a windjammer and be sailors for a week.

» visit acadia national park
this is exactly where we would go to get our tree fix. it's mountains, islands, the ocean... everything is a post card. we'd take a bike ride through the little villages, go on a small plane tour, kayak through the forest, and maybe even be brave enough to take a rock climbing course on the the cliffs over the ocean.
» stay in a beach cottage
our idea of the perfect vacation in Maine would be easy breezy and just taking the east coast in. so we'd rent a cottage on the beach for like a week, and have a little beachside home away from home to venture out from.
Maine Vacation Inspired Fashion
if we take a Maine summertime vacay, we want to embrace the energy of New England and work a little nautical vibe into our fashion - but without being too cliché. so instead of an obvious sailor top or dress, we would go for classic elegant fashion, with nautical inspired colors like navy blue and gold tone beiges, and accessorize with aviator shades and sailboat jewelry.

HaHa! I’m from Maine and noone ever blogs about Maine. If you ever do really come here you should go to Orchard Beach. P.S. I want that dress on the right so bad!
Awww poor Maine
We think it looks gorgeous!
