what’s the geography?
it’s a massive freshwater lake in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. it’s 2/3 in California, and 1/3 in Nevada, so you could live like 2 minutes away from your best friend, but still live in different states. it’s warm weather in the summer, and a snow wonderland in the winter.
have we been there?
YES. Hands down the most beautiful place we’ve ever been. It’s the best place ever.
what it’s famous for ….
it’s the largest alpine lake in North America, it has snowboarding for days, major casinos, incredible views, amazing hiking, awesome cabin vacations, and, ‘The Godfather’ and ‘The Bodyguard’ both filmed scenes there!

it’s breathtaking, life-changing, spiritual, magical, and the water is incredibly blue and sparkly. it’s for reals one of the most memorable places in the world.

Lake Tahoe is like a snowboarding and skiing heaven. with 14 mountains to choose from, you will find everything from beginning slopes to olympic powder. our favorites are Sugarbowl, Alpine Meadows, Sierra, and Boreal has night boarding!

Zephyr Cove is this awesome resort on the Nevada South Shore side. They have these super cute cabins you can rent, a beach you can hang out on, parasailing rides, waverunners & boats for rent, snowmobiling, and cruise ship tours.

what is it? a zipline! sooooo amazing! you’ll be at 3,100 ft., and it’s the longest zipline in the lower 48 U.S. states.

if you’re over 21, there are casino’s with 24/7 gambling, places to eat, free cocktails, and night clubs. we’ve heard South Lake Tahoe is insane on New Year’s Eve.

it’s 165 miles of amazing hiking. it passes through two states (California and Nevada), six counties, one state park, three National Forests, three Wilderness areas, and has a perfect view from every mile.

according to VirtualTahoe.com, Lake Tahoe’s water so clear that a 10 inch white dinner plate would be visible at 75 feet below the surface. with water that clear, you have to see it up close, and explore all you can.

North Shore Tahoe & amazing mexican food
even though South Lake gets the most action, don’t forget about North Shore. everything in North Shore looks like it’s from Santa’s Village – even the gas stations are cute. King’s Beach has this incredible park area on the lake, you can drive through the North Shore neighborhoods and see incredible houses, and Tahoe City has one of the best mexican food restaurants ever.

it’s this beautiful cove that contains the only island on Lake Tahoe. the views are like nothing you’ve ever seen.
