for sure go in the fall. it’s right when all the leaves are turning and the trees are super pretty.

yup! we were all at some point, (and 2 of us still are), Tennessee kids, so Gatlinburg is pretty much on the “for sure family va-cay list”. we also had a girls weekend up there last year and it was awesome.

rent a cabin
we rented an awesome 2 story cabin. it was pimped out with a deck that had an outdoor jacuzzi, an upstairs balcony with mountain views, a huuuuge 2 person jet tub, a kitchen for mini dinner parties, big cozy beds, a fireplace for making smores, and a flat screen tv and dvd player for movie watching and having the best slumber party ever. it's totally camping for princesses :D .

you can hire this local company that comes to your cabin that gives massages and manicures and pedicures...for reals.
go downtown to the shops
gatlinburg is this really tiny little town that resembles an old time village. aside from the serious overload of NASCAR it totally feels like you go back in time. our favorites were the candy shops and the bath and body products stores. we got sweet smelling handmade soaps and yummy homemade style fudge!

go hiking
gatlinburg has some great hiking and some of it's pretty moderate. it's the kind of hiking where you can just enjoy the views and get some fresh air. if you want something a little more challenging, with a super pretty suprise at the end...check out Rainbow Falls.
