Track Town USA
Eugene, Oregon
U of O football, being the birthplace of the Nike brand, the hometown of musician Mat Kearney, and for being Track Town USA and the stomping ground of Steve Prefontaine.
we all went to cheer camp and track camp at U of O and we LOVE Eugene! such a cute town.
why we love it there...
the pacific northwest is rad
another place that gets luv from us because of our obsession with mountains, trees, and beautiful forests. Eugene is one of those towns where every direction is an amazing view, and the town is filled with trees. it's a big enough town to have fun things to do and fun places to go, but it's still small enough to be naturally beautiful. if you're ever in Eugene in the fall, you'll see how amazing it looks when all the trees are turning.
track town usa
we're super big track and field fans, and Eugene is the mecca of USA track and field. it's full of the energy of legends past and present. we also all went to track camp and cheerleading camp at U of O, so this little college town holds super sweet memories for us.
what to do on a Eugene vacay...
» go to Hayward Field
like we said Eugene is where track and field lives, and there is literally magic in the air at Hayward Field. especially if you get to go to a meet during track season, the electricity in the crowd is like an earthquake when the runners are coming off the last corner towards the finish.
» go biking and walking
the Willamette River Paths are 12 miles of riverfront gorgeousness. get outside, bike, walk, chill at the parks, see the rose garden, and take in some fresh air.
» get downtown
Eugene is the quintessential college town with everything you could want in cute downtown experience. shops, bakeries, cafes, artisan culture, and of course a saturday market.
