falling for Mae...

our love affair with Mae started forever and a day ago. one night when we we're dropped off at nashville's teen center/concert heaven, Rocketown, Mae was one of the opening bands for Something Corporate, and we've been breathing in everything that they breathe out, ever since.

the unique Mae sound...

hmmmm... words that describe Mae... beautiful. poetic. melodic. passionate. picturesque. intelligent. honest - like a boy sorting out his inner thoughts and emotions right in front of you. but despite all the sweetness and introspect... a lot of the time, the songs are sassy and quirky. if Mae were an ice cream flavor it would be organic honey cream sugar cookie harmony twilight with cinnamon and spice sprinkled on top :D .

the latest breath... 12 songs. 12 months. 1 goal. make a difference.

the latest release from Mae is about way more than the music. Mae went on a year long mission: 12 Songs, 12 Months, 1 Goal: Make a Difference. The band released one song per month on their website whatismae.com with all proceeds being donated to humanitarian efforts and causes that the band supports. they are inspiring their fans by not only raising money, but truly getting involved with organizations like Habitat for Humanity and Donorschoose.org.

along with the inspiration from the band to make a difference in the world, the music itself is totally inspiring. we always know that we're going to love everything they release, but this cd continues to amaze us and has hands down one of our favorite ever songs of all time. ever. of all everness.
