Kendra Wilkinson even has a pair of their super cute flip flops!

Tell us all about Glamour Toes, how you got started, and the story about how your children inspired it?

Nikki & Teddi of Glamour Toes:

Nikki: I have always had a love for fashion. It took a whole new twist with the birth of my daughter. Meeting Teddi inspired my passion for design even more. She was already a talented designer with her own line of children’s clothing.

Teddi: I went to design school and started designing clothes after my daughter was born. Our daughters were in preschool together and Nikki and I had a similar style in dressing our children. I knew we could create something together that was unusual and dramatic. Glamour Toes started with a small idea to create a funky pair of converse with glitz for our own children. People would stop us and ask where did we get the shoes for our girls and can they get a pair! We knew we stumbled onto something special. Our creativity has a fantastic balance and our good ideas soon blossomed into great ones. Besides that, our children loved wearing them and they felt special… thus the idea that every princess deserves to sparkle!

Glamour Toes by Teddi & Nikki has a line of fun and funky, unique designs that make a fashion statement yet are girly, sporty and comfortable enough to wear every day! From infants to toddlers, to growing girls to adults, we have the ultimate upscale bling and glamour. Our line consists of Converse embellished with genuine Swarovski crystals, airbrushed converse, suede boots, and flip flop wedges and our newest line of one-of-a-kind airbrushed clothing ranging from infant to adults!

Since Glamour Toes was originally inspired by tiny people :D was it hard to transition into products for big girls?

Nikki & Teddi of Glamour Toes:

We had to think back to our days of youth… not too long ago (lol) and we interviewed our older nieces to find out what was the “in” thing. We are constantly keeping up with the hip and trendy fashion for babies, kids and teens. We get advice from our own children and their ideas have helped us tremendously. This is our passion and we always try to offer something unique and fun. Our ideas stem in everyday life. People love fitting into a trendy fashion group but also thrive on individuality. Our fashion goal is to have our customer love what they are wearing and be comfortable too!

That's pretty crazy that you apply Swarovski crystals to your products by hand! How long does it take to make a pair of bling'd out shoes?

Nikki & Teddi of Glamour Toes:

It is a lengthy process and it takes a lot of patience. We formulated an amazing process of applying the crystals so that they adhere well. We know we can stand behind our products.

The airbrushing is impressive too! Have you both always been really artistic, and what other creative outlets do you guys have?

Nikki & Teddi of Glamour Toes:

Nikki: Growing up, my Mom was a natural well rounded artist who was always drawing, painting and sewing. Her artsy ways rubbed off on me and while I have a Pharmacy Degree, my passion was always in the arts. Being a busy Mom, Glamour Toes is my true creative outlet but I also have a passion for interior design as well as photography and I love putting colors and patterns together! I constantly make changes to my house (even though it can drive my husband crazy).

Teddi: I have always had an interest in the arts. I have a degree in graphic design. I absolutely love photography and have written and illustrated a children’s book. My mom also inspired my creativity with her quirky fashion. She always had to have the most interesting and eye catching shoes and I guess it rubbed off on me too!

Pretty Princess Girls:

We love anything Hello Kitty haha, so the Hello Kitty Converse are hands down our favorite. The cupcake ones are amazing too! Do you have favorite pieces?

Nikki & Teddi of Glamour Toes:

Each one we do becomes our new favorite. It is so hard to pick one because they all have a special uniqueness. If we had to pick, our favorites are our newest design – the blackberry heart in pink and black, the trilogy and the princess converse.

All of us Pretty Princess Girls are best friends and kind of "in business" together because we have our websites together. We love it because we feed off each other's creativity and passion about things. Is it incredibly fun being in business as friends, and do you inspire each other creatively?

Nikki & Teddi of Glamour Toes:

It’s great! We work so well together that it comes natural. The crazy thing is we are constantly coming up with similar ideas and then adding to it until it becomes perfect. We always say we are like ying yang in perfect design harmony together. Our ideas merge into something incredible.

We saw the pic of Kendra Wilkinson wearing your flip flops - that's so awesome! How did she find out about you, and how exciting is that?!

Nikki & Teddi of Glamour Toes:

It is truly a small world. We were showing our new Flip Flop designs to a friend (who is also friends with Kendra) and she knew Kendra would love a certain style, so she bought them for her for a wedding present to wear on her honeymoon. We kept checking the national celebrity magazines and there she was, wearing a pair of Glamour Toes flip flops! It was really exciting.

What are your own personal styles, and do you have fashion icons?

Nikki & Teddi of Glamour Toes:

Nikki: It really depends on my mood, I like casual, comfortable wear with a little bit of funky style. I live in jeans and love vintage pieces and of course I have to have my bling converse! My fashion icon is Audrey Hepburn. Her sweet innocence and elegance is timeless.

Teddi: My style is a casual, trendy elegance with a vintage flair. I love vintage belts and cannot seem to get enough of them! My fashion icon is hands down creative genius, Tom Ford from Gucci. He brought Gucci back to life with innovative styles that were sexy and trendy.

If you could make a wish and have everything you want for Glamour Toes, what would the future look like?

Nikki & Teddi of Glamour Toes:

We would love to have our line of clothing in mainstream fashion. Our main goal is to make all girls happy and create unique one of kind pieces of art! When we see the smiles on their faces with their new shoes or clothes, it’s priceless! All girls are princesses and deserve some sparkle in their life!
