first of all – we are big believers that age is a total illusion, so noone is ever “too old” haha.

but thank you for what you said. we’re pretty free spirited, so we’re not generally overly opinionated on here. we actually get pretty uncomfortable with coming off as judgy ourselves by going too hardcore on a topic. but once in a while, we just really get a passionate spark about something. i guess we figure that if our gut instinct is really strong to talk about something, then there is probably 1 person who will be inspired by what we have to say, and that 1 person makes it worth taking the risk of coming off too “grrrrr”.

I am a “grown up” as you would say lol, but I actually agree with everything you girls wrote. I too find it interesting to watch parents on shows like Dr. Phil, and they have these “horrible” teenagers who are acting out, yet when Dr. Phil starts digging in, we learn that the parents fight, yell, have affairs, hit the kids, and so on. Like you said, they act dumbfounded at the behavior that the children develop. They are completely ignorant of the fact that the children are re-acting to the behavior they are raised around. I personally believe that children reflect ourselves back to us.

It’s funny because I don’t follow very many blogs for the very reasons you mention, the gossip, the mean spirited blog posts, etc. Maybe it’s because I’m young at heart, or maybe it is because of the positivity you girls work so hard to include, or maybe it’s just because I love girl stuff lol, but I love your blog, and I do check it out regularly. I never find myself being brave enough to comment because I assume I am too old! I was just really impressed with this blog post, and wanted to let you girls know that you should keep speaking your minds, and keep spreading the light!

but wait a minute! look at all of YOU! look at all of the grown men, politicians even, who cheat on their wives! look at all of the ministers or religious leaders who are having affairs, or molesting children, or using money from donations just to get rich.

and yes, gossip and cyberbullying, adults are worse than we are, they just don’t address their OWN behavior issues.

hey adults – instead of spending all of your time trying to “fix your kids”, why not try looking in the mirror and fixing your own behavior issues FIRST. maybe if you lead by example, your kids will learn how to be better from you.

if you want something more natural type, alba plumeria shampoo & conditioner smell pretty good – the after scent it leaves on your hair isn’t as strong as suave’s, but it’s still a really good smell –> alba plumeria

and then there’s the philosophy shampoo washes – some of them smell soooo good! they are kind of hit and miss depending on the scent, some last longer than others, but we love the ‘strawberry milkshake’ and the ‘falling in love’ and the ‘sugary cinnamon icing’ yum! –> philosophy shampoos

oh! and the Bath & Body Works shampoos… soooo good! the sweet pea is awesome! and that shampoo actually works really good haha –> Bath & Body Works shampoo

that ended up being one of the best decisions we made because once we decided we wouldn’t be using pictures of ourselves, we then realized we wanted to post pictures of all kinds of girls – different races & cultures, different body types, different styles, different social groups… so now when girls come to our site, even though it’s from our personal point of view, it embraces the idea that all girls are beautiful and inspiring, and hopefully different types of girls can relate to our site and take something positive about themselves from it.

at one point we all lived in nashville, so that’s where we all met ashlee and cameron have been in nashville for the most part, but jenna and krissie have kind of moved around like crazy. jenna goes back to nashville alot, and we have all stayed in touch we’re pretty much soulmates, so distance doesn’t matter so much

yeah ashlee is the only one of us that’s had that guts to go a totally different color. jenna – always been dark. cameron is always some shade of blondish brown. krissie was born with white hair haha and it got darker blonde in like 9th grade, so she highlighted a few years – and when she let it grow out natural again it was randomly a strawberry blonde. she’s had to change all her makeup and “color pallette” to compensate for the reddish color, so it was funny.
