Channing Tatum...

we want to mention first off that we also have a really big crush on his wife, Jenna Dewan. she was his co-star in 'Step Up' and is an amazing dancer and an actress herself. she's also just as gorgeous as Channing :D. they are for sure in our top ten favrit' superstar couples.

Channing is a southern boy who is originally from a small Alabama town outside of Birmingham. he was a pretty avid jock playing sports such as track and field, baseball, soccer, martial arts, and football. he even earned himself a college scholarship in athletics.

Channing didn't end up in acting right away, in fact after college, he had jobs as a construction worker, a mortgage broker, an exotic dancer?!...and random jobs in retail. that was all until he as discovered by a talent scout who introduced him to the modeling world.

Channing was actually highly successful in his modeling career working for major names such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Aeropostale, Dolce & Gabbana, Nautica, Vogue Magazine, Gap, Emporio Armani, and was even in commercials for American Eagle, Pepsi, and Mountain Dew.

Channing was a freestyle street dancer with no formal training. we're guessing that's probably why he was so perfect for his role in 'Step Up'. as his character was learning choreography, and partnering, and formal dance, Channing was legitimately learning all that too. he really is a phenomenal dancer. if you've ever seen his trampoline dance battle in the start of 'Step Up 2', you know what we mean.

his acting...

since an appearance in an episode of CSI Miami in 2004, he's been creating an awesome resume. right now he's exploding everywhere with the premiere of his new movie, 'Dear John'. it's just out, so we haven't got a chance to see it yet, but so far our favorites of his include, 'Stop-Loss', 'Step Up' and 'Step Up 2', 'She's the Man', and 'Coach Carter'. we especially love that you might not expect him to be more than hunk, but he surprises you, and really is an actor who pays attention to the details and puts a lot of energy into creating genuine characters. we think we are watching an actor who is developing his talent with every movie he makes.
