why we're buzzing...
ash & cam live in a little country town outside of nashville, and krissie and jenna live in a little mountain town in california. we know that so many small town kids dream of bright lights and big cities and think they hate where they live, but we live in small towns, and we love where we live. we think loving where you live is all about whether or not you embrace the place your in. you may eventually "get out" and take on the wide world, but while you're at home, here's a few of our ways to make it a little sweet...
be local kids...
you can go to an Olive Garden or a Starbucks in any place in the world, but there are one of a kind places that you can only go to in your town. whether it's an independent music store, a quaint coffee shop, or a little sandwich place, you should totally check out all those little hidden secrets in your town.
ash and cam have a restaurant they go to all the time and they know all of the waiters and waitresses there haha. the place has the most amazing salads and rolls, and they have tons of best friend nights there. krissie and jenna love walking downtown to this little sandwich shop with the best.sandwiches.ever.
try community things...
we can hear your eyes rolling at us right now :) but we love community events! we go to county fairs, rodeos, farmer's markets, art fairs, motocross races... even if noone else we know goes, we just love the feeling of hangin' out in the energy of our hometown.
explore the nature around you...
there are places outside where you live that are like no other place on earth. city kids may have strip malls and dance clubs, but small town kids have parks and lakes and rivers and fields... places full of beauty and adventure. there are city kids that would give anything for the days in the grass and the sun that us small town kids can have every day.
the cali girls and the tennessee girls all have hiking places nearby we go to, walking trails we love, and lakes and rivers we spend summers at, and they are where some of the sweetest, most inspiring moments in our lives happen.

are any of y'all small town kids? do you have special places in your town that make you love where you live?
I am from a small town in Wyoming. The population is only 6,000 people. Kids in my high school are ALWAYS complaining about how boring it is here, and they just can’t WAIT to get out of here and move on with their lives. Move to New York. Be a journalist in Denver. Be a model in LA. I don’t understand why they would want to go to those places and live. Sure, I love to visit the city as much as the next teenage girl, I mean, SHOPPING! But most people don’t realize the treasures we have here. My friends and I have the best times just driving around going no where, jamming to the latest One Direction song, and singing way louder than we should. If you would like, you can ask me more about my small town. Or tiny town as most people would think. Small town according to most people is a population of 50,000. I love my small town, and my little state of Wyoming
awww we LOVE that! yes we TOTALLY agree – going to a big city is cool for shopping or visiting, but so much beauty in life happens in small towns! driving around aimlessly listening to the radio with our best friends is like one of our favorite things to do in life haha!
when we wrote this we we’re talking about it and ash & cam have lived in small southern towns their whole lives and they wouldn’t trade it for the world!
krissie and jenna have both moved alot so they’ve lived in the middle of nowhere small towns and in cities, and all of their favorite places have been the small towns. for a little bit krissie actually lived in that whole la, long beach, the “valley” southern california area, and she totally would never ever want to ever live there again – she just remembers smog and traffic haha – yuck! but she also lived in this super tiny place outside of yosemite for a little bit where there were only like 80 kids in her entire school of kindergarten through 8th grade, and she LOVED that little town.
awww we’re happy that you love where you live! we’ve never been to Wyoming, but we’re super huge nature nerds hahaha and we’ve seen pictures of this place called Grand Teton National Park and we want to go there SO bad! have you been there?
How I wish I could move back to the small town I grew up in! I’m living in Toronto right now, it’s pretty busy and I really miss the small town feel!

I have never been to Grand Teton National Park, but I have been to Yellowstone National Park, and they are both in the same area. But it is beautiful up there! Its clear on the other side of the state from me, like a 8 hour drive, but its a wonderful place to visit. But if you plan to come, make sure you take more than one day to see Yellowstone, and take a couple of days to roam around Jackson Hole. Its a wonderful place. I wouldn’t want to live their though. Expensive price of living
oh wow that’s awesome, Yellowstone would be amaaazing too! and Jackson Hole. someday we seriously want to just jump in the car and take an aimless road trip to everywhere in the US haha
Yah Canada is pretty cool! Oh wait…it can get hot. XD And yah, Toronto is really pretty and does have a lot of parks but it just isn’t the same!

guess the same things we say about small towns applies for cities then haha? embrace the things that are special about that place to make it sweeter 
I wished I lived in a small town but everything happens for a reason!

Hi guys! I used to live in Tennessee. How did you guys meet if you lived on different sides of the country?
this might not be much help haha – but anywhere you go that just “feels like home”. pick a state you love, and a town that has the type of “area” you like… for instance… do you love mountains, ocean, desert, countryside…anywhere that the area makes you feel good is where you should go because that’s where your heart will be happy
